High Stakes, Higher Price Tag: Allegiant Stadium the NFL's Most Expensive Place to Propose

Couples have plenty of low-cost proposal options in Las Vegas – but Allegiant Stadium isn't one of them, as the latest Sportsbook Review study reveals.

Las Vegas has been the unofficial "Marriage Capital of the World" for more than seven decades – but popping the question at Sin City's NFL stadium will leave you feeling like you spent a little too much time at the blackjack table.

Allegiant Stadium owns the distinction of charging the highest price for a video-board marriage proposal of any venue in the NFL. And it isn't particularly close: The 65,000-seat home of the Las Vegas Raiders charges a whopping $1,500 per stadium proposal, double the next-highest fee.

Key Takeaways

💍 Allegiant Stadium is one of only 12 NFL venues to allow video-board marriage proposals
💍 Chase Center charges the highest fee for an arena proposal of any NBA venue
💍 Proposing at a New York Islanders game is pricier than at any other NHL arena
💍 Major League Baseball has the highest number of venues allowing proposals

It's fitting that Allegiant Stadium comes in with the highest cost for in-stadium proposals; after all, Las Vegas probably offers more ways to spend $1,500 in an instant than any other city in the United States.

Miami's Hard Rock Stadium is alone in second, with the home of the Dolphins attaching a $750 price tag to a video board proposal. Nissan Stadium, home of the Tennessee Titans, are next at $550 to pop the question, with Raymond James Stadium (which hosts the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and SoFi Stadium (where the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers call home) tied at $500 each.

As for the cheapest NFL venue for proposals, that distinction belongs to Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field, where Eagles fans can attempt to secure a fiance(e) for the low cost of $25.

Lovestruck sports aficionados looking for a venue to ask for a partner's hand in marriage will find NBA arenas much more affordable than NFL stadiums. (It's also considerably less heart-wrenching to have only 19,000 people heckling you if your partner says no, as opposed to an NFL crowd of 65,000+ giving you the gears.)

Chase Center in San Francisco, home to the Golden State Warriors, is the most expensive NBA arena for marriage proposals at a whopping $250. There's a tie for second on the list between Detroit's Little Caesars Arena and Charlotte's Spectrum Center, both of which charge $150 for an arena proposal.

And if you're looking for the cheapest option among the 10 NBA arenas that allow in-venue marriage proposals, Phoenix's Footprint Center and Indiana's Gainbridge Fieldhouse both come in at a rather affordable $50 – leaving proposers with plenty of cash to upgrade that engagement ring.

Long Island is the most expensive place for professional hockey fans to pop the question, with UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y. – home of the New York Islanders – charging $500 for in-stadium marriage proposals. Boston's TD Garden is a distant second, carrying a $200 proposal price tag.

At the other end of the scale, Scotiabank Saddledome, home of the Calgary Flames, charges just $25 for a stadium proposal while Anaheim's Honda Center, is next at just $30.

Sports fans who dream of proposing during a game have more opportunities at MLB parks than any other North American pro sports venue. A whopping 23 of 29 MLB stadiums permit stadium proposals, with fees ranging from the cost of a typical Uber Eats order to the price of a decent laptop computer.

A pair of National League ballparks own the distinction of carrying the highest price tag for a stadium marriage proposal, as Citi Field (home of the New York Mets) and Nationals Park (where the Washington Nationals play) both charge $1,500 at the top end.

Conversely, lovestruck baseball fans in the Steel City can pop the question at PNC Park for the low, low price of just $35. It's the only pro sports venue in Pittsburgh that allows marriage proposals, while three of rival Philadelphia's four major sports venues permit proposals.
